Most likely if the company is unlicensed, then they are probably uninsured as well. If the electrician that you hire is uninsured, you will not be covered if an accident happens in the home, you will be liable for it and there could possibly be lawsuits coming your way from the property owners.
You should definitely hire a licensed electrician to perform electrical services to your home or business.
